Betty Lou Law

Betty Lou Law, 80, of Lee County, GA, died April 18, 2022 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held Friday April 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Chuck Smith will officiate.  Interment will follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma, GA

 

Mrs. Law was born in Preston, GA on January 4, 1942 to Felton and Ruby Pines.  She married Clinton Law in 1968 and moved to Americus. Mrs. Law was a wife, mother and homemaker.  She moved to Lee County, GA in 1992 and was a member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church. She loved to fish, go to yard sales, work in the yard, and she was a great cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Savage Law and a son, James Melvin Lumpkin, and a brother, Ronnie Pines.

 

Survivors include her children, Betty “Bunny” Morris of Lee County, GA, Tommy (Teresa) Lumpkin of Valdosta, GA, Benny Ray Lumpkin of Oglethorpe, GA, James Alvin “J.R” Lumpkin, Cindy Kay Cummings and Dorothy Marie Kevin all of Lee County, GA, a sister, Sadie Busbee of Americus, GA, a brother, seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday at Mathews Funeral Home
