Betty C. Dietzel

Betty C. Dietzel, 75, of Sylvester, GA, died August 20, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Brother Kevin Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Xenia, OH, Mrs. Dietzel moved to Albany, GA in 1974 from Ochlocknee, GA and moved to Sylvester, GA in 2008. She was a homemaker and was employed as a bus driver for the Dougherty County School System for ten years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Sells Dietzel, Sr., a step-son, Jerry Dietzel, three brothers, Billy Montgomery, James Montgomery and David Montgomery, a sister, Mary Inlow and a grandchild, Steven Dietzel, Jr.

She is survived by eleven children, thirty seven grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren, a brother, Robert Montgomery and his wife, Sharon on Jackson, IN and a special granddaughter, Victoria Dietzel Holley.

Mrs. Dietzel will lie in state at her residence for viewing and visitation on Sunday, August 22, 2015.
