Bernell Yeomans Kirkland

Bernell Elizabeth Yeomans Kirkland, 87, of 222 Kinchafoonee Creek Road, Leesburg GA, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 3:00 p .m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Chip Gresham and Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Geneva, AL, Mrs. Kirkland had lived in Albany since 1948 moving from Esto, FL. She was a retired Office Clerk with The Federal-State Inspection Service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Kirkland was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Ray Kirkland and a son, Jerry Kirkland.

Survivors include a son, Tim Kirkland (Audra Burdick) of Leesburg, GA, a granddaughter, Leah Gillis (Michael) of Leesburg, GA, a grandson, Chris Kirkland of Leesburg, GA, a sister, Ruth Williams of Milton, FL two great-granddaughters, Raven Gillis and Makayla Kirkland, two great-grandsons Michael Alexander Gillis and Brendan Kirkland.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Mathews Funeral Home.
