Bennie Davis

Bennie Davis, 86, of Albany, GA passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Grady Morey will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home and followed by a funeral procession to the cemetery.

Mr. Davis was born in Headland, AL and had resided in Albany, GA most all of his life, he was a self employed carpenter and was a volunteer fire fighter with the Worth County Volunteer fire department for thirty years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, wife, Thelma Annette Phillips Davis and a sister, Myrtie Davis Hatcher. 

Survivors include his daughter, Lillie Davis Taylor and her husband Mike of Raleigh, NC.
