Benjamin H. "Buddy" Drawdy

Benjamin “Buddy” Henry Drawdy Jr., 80, died peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Willson Hospice House after a courageous battle with dementia and Parkinson’s disease. 

His funeral service will be 3 pm Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home with interment in Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Art Guerra and Mr. William Schofill will officiate. 

Buddy was born on February 22, 1943 to Benjamin Henry Drawdy Sr. and Cloris Watson Drawdy in Nashville, GA. He married his wife Linda in 1979 and both were members at the Sunnyside Baptist Church of Albany. 

Buddy was a contractor and owner of Drawdy Contracting and A to Z Fire Restoration.  He was described as a hardworking, family-oriented father and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Henry Drawdy, Sr. and Cloris Watson, and brother Kenneth Drawdy. 

Survivors include his wife, Linda Schofill Guerra Drawdy of Albany, GA, his children, Benjamin Henry Drawdy III of Clarksville, TN, Peggy (Tom) Graf of St. Augustine, FL, David (Michele) Guerra of Leesburg, GA, Art Guerra of San Antonio, TX, his siblings, Judy (Tommy) Inferrera of Woodstock, GA, Linda (Gary) Freeman of Sasser, GA, Mitchell Drawdy of Albany, GA, his grandchildren include Elena Guerra, Sofia Guerra, Joshua Guerra, Olivia Guerra of San Antonio, TX, Parker Guerra and Nathan Guerra of Albany, GA and Corbin Drawdy of Clarksville, TN. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
