Mrs. Barbara Johnson, 60, of Albany passed away on October 25, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Mathews Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, October 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev Jackie Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Milford Baptist Church Cemetery, Leary, GA.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Pelham, GA, daughter of the late, “Pat” George and Leola Collins Bailey. She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Joe Bailey.

Mrs. Johnson had resided in Baker County and Albany then moved to Calhoun County for twenty five years and had recently returned to Albany. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and a care giver. She will always be remembered for the love she gave to her family and friends and will be dearly missed. She was a member of the Mount Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Clint Johnson, Albany, GA; three sons, Michael Bailey, Morgan, GA, David Johnson and his wife, Regina, Albany, GA, Melvin Rachel of Lexington, KY; two daughters, Christi Houck and her husband, George of Ringgold, GA and Leola White of Arlington, GA, a step daughter, Terra Johnson of Albany, GA, a sister, Marie Sellars and her husband, John of Leesburg, GA and two brothers, Jimmy Bailey and his wife, Diane of Albany, GA; William Bailey and his wife, Tommie of Albany, GA, four grandchildren, Aaron and Chance Johnson of Albany, GA, Tony McCullors, Jr. and Antonio McCullors, a niece Ann Verner and her husband, Hut of Fortson, GA and several aunts, cousins and many friends.
