Aubrey Melvin Craft, Jr

Aubrey Melvin (Mel) Craft, Jr., 46, of Leesburg, GA, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1100 AM at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Chip Gresham and Rev. Norman Denney will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Michael Calhoun, Steven Calhoun, Terry Stevens, Rusty Lanier, Tommy Jarrett and Steve Williams will serve as active pallbearers. The Men’s Sunday School Class and the Willing Worker’s Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

A native of Albany, GA, Mel had resided in the Albany area all of his life. He was a 1983 graduate of Albany High School and attended Albany Technical College. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was employed with Jarrett Brothers Construction Company.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Craft of Lee County, GA, three children, Heather Craft of Crawfordville, FL and Haley Craft and Hunter Craft both of Lee County, GA, a grandchild, Makayla Aubrey Harrison of Crawfordville, FL, his parents, Melvin and Betty Jean Craft of Albany, GA and a brother and his wife, Alan and Wendy Craft of Sylvester, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
