Arthur Earl Davis

Earl Davis, 67, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church. Dr. Charlie Rouse will officiate. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, October 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, VA.

A native of Portsmouth, VA Earl had resided in Albany, GA since 1982 moving from Gainesville, FL. He was an Accountant with the Marine Corps Logistics Base and the District Health Department with the State of Georgia. Earl retired at the age of 62 because of health reasons. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ralph Davis, Jr. and Sybil Summerfield Davis, a step-son, Keenan Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Stultz Davis of Albany, GA, a daughter, Melissa Marquardt (Jeff) of San Diego, CA, two step-sons, Robert Lee Diamond (Cristi) of Warner Robins, GA, Kevin Jones (Kristy) of Lynchburg, VA, two sisters, Patricia Davis of Leesburg, GA and Sherry Davis of Albany, GA, two brothers, Robert Michael Davis (Lisa) of Albany, GA and William Ralph Davis III (Leigh) of Canton, GA and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
