April Dickerson Simon, 55, of Putney, Georgia, passed away at her residence on Monday, June 15, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Scarrow officiating.

April was born on January 7, 1971, in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late Elmer Felton Dickerson and Nancy Lewis. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.

April recently began working at The Pecan Patch, where she enjoyed greeting customers and caring for the front counter. Prior to that, she previously worked at Mike's Country Store in Putney in the deli market, where she became well-known for her friendly smile, hard work, and dedication to serving her customers. She genuinely enjoyed helping others and never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need. A hardworking and selfless person, April found joy in spending time with family and friends. She loved playing cards with her friends, working with adult coloring books, and making lasting memories with those she loved. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sibling Amy McCormick.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 22 years, Robbie Simon of Putney, GA; her daughters, Kammi Kenney (Andrew), Ashley Philips, and Taylor Lindsey (Tylor); her seven grandchildren, Gage, Keilyn, Maddox, Elijah, Zavier, Xander, and Theo; her siblings, Elisha Chason-Phelps, Shannon Dickerson, Leon McCormick and Crystal North; and her lifelong friend, Buffy Mitchell.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home on Saturday June 20, 2026.
