Over the years, Dr. Scardino served as director of the ARC in Texas, California, and Colorado before taking a position as headmaster of Dayspring Christian School in Greeley, CO.  After completing an internship at Grace Fellowship International to become a Christ-centered Biblical counselor, Al went on to direct the counseling center at First Baptist Church Atlanta and was instrumental in starting a lay counseling ministry, training and overseeing hundreds of lay counselors in his 23 years before retiring from First Baptist.  A man of many interests, Al was a painter, wood worker, musician, storyteller, and he loved a good joke.
