Syble Perry Worsley

Mrs. Syble Perry Worsley, 87, of Albany died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends at Mathews Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a funeral following on Thursday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. led by Rev. Nate Lehman.

She was born in Cedar Springs, GA in 1930 to Willie Green Perry and Ruby Ashley Roberts Perry. Mrs. Worsley graduated from Jakin High School in 1947 and attended Perry Business School in Albany. She married the love of her life in 1950 in Colquitt, Georgia and enjoyed spending quality time raising her five children.

Later in life, she worked with several different nurseries in Albany including Porterfield, Sherwood and Byne Christian Day Center. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved playing the piano for churches and family and passed her love of music to her children and grandchildren. Her southern legacy of cooking, gardening, and love of family will always be cherished.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl “Sang” Worsley and son Michael Fletcher Worsley.

Survivors include her children, Joe Worsley (Brenda) of Lee County, Lynn Tatum (Carey) of Lee County, Angela Worsley of Albany, Sharon Garcia (Robert) of Lee County, grandchildren Christopher Worsley, Kelli Slater, Paige Kellett, Holli Tatum Sadler, Jodi Tatum Mann, Kati Tatum Cook, Fletcher Worsley, Miranda Worsley, Emma Worsley, Brett Garcia, and Ashley Garcia, 11 great grandchildren, sisters, Macie Avery, Moultrie, Hallie Mondi of Melbourne, FL and a host of nieces and nephews. The family is at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Carey Tatum.
