Michael Heyer, 49, of Leesburg, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Willson Hospice House.  A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.

Michael was born in Albany, GA on July 30, 1969 and has resided in the area most of his life.  He was a graduate of Randolph- Clay Highschool. In 1990 Michael completed his Associates of Science in Nursing from Albany Junior College. Michael obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and went on to PA school and graduated in 2001 from The University of North Dakota as a Physician Assistant. Michael was employed with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for over twenty years.

Michael enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  He had a passion for gaming especially World of Warcraft.  Michael was a fan of Star Wars and Marvel Comics. He was a self-taught guitarist and enjoyed all genres of music.  Michael was quick witted, full of sarcasm, and a practical joker.

Survivors include his wife Cindy Heyer, a son Will Heyer, two daughters Riley Caldwell and Carson Caldwell all of Lee County, his mother LaDaira Ann Heyer of Dawson, GA, a brother Christopher Scott Heyer of Chattanooga, TN, and his beloved dog RayRon Jenkins.
