Early on, he performed with his mother and two brothers around the southern Alabama area and even played on a radio show on WOOF-AM in the Dothan area as The Miller Family. Later, he had a successful side career playing fiddle with several bands at VFW’s and square dances over the years in southern Alabama and southwestern Georgia and was well known for his musical ability. He was also very talented mechanically and loved to work on old cars and trucks to restore them. He loved building things and was talented in both construction and woodworking, and he loved Alabama football.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Annette, of 62 years, and his only child, daughter Janet Miller Hayes and her husband Hank of Albany. He is also survived by a sister, Robynel Harden of Columbus, a niece and a nephew.
