| Obituary: | The funeral service of Scharlene Draucker Bennett, 70, of Baconton, who died Wednesday, June 25, 2005 at her residence, will be conducted Monday, June 30, 2008 at 10:00AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Father Ray Levreault will officiate.
A native of Detroit, MI, Mrs. Bennett had lived in Baconton since 1984, moving from Lee County. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church since 1980, a member of The Albany Artesian Car Club, The National Desoto Car Club and WITT Motor home Club. She won many first place prizes in wood carving and was an avid sewer as well as making stained glass. Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leonora Drauker and a brother, Chuck Draucker.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar Bennett of Baconton, two sons, Edgar James Bennett of Albany, and Allan Robert Bennett of Pelham, two daughters, Natalie Ann Ellerbee and her husband Philip of Chester, VA., and Judith Marie Smith and her husband Warren, of Long Island, NY., two sisters, Rose Zeh of Clearwater, FL., and Joann Hattey of Tarpon Springs, FL., a sister-in-law, Gail Eddy of Warren, MI., five grandchildren, Justine Inman and her husband James, Chris Bennett, David Smith, Joshua Smith and Nathaniel Smith, one great grandchild, Breauna Inman.
A rosary will be held Sunday evening from 7:00PM until 7:30PM at Mathews Funeral Home, with visitation from 5:00PM until 9:00PM.
