| Obituary: | The private memorial service of Ronald Eugene Cox, 65, of Albany, GA., died Wednesday July 21, 2010 at Georgetown, GA was conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Frank Lamb officiated. A native of West Frankfort, IL, Mr. Cox had resided in Albany since 1975 and moved to Augusta, GA in 1980 and returned to Albany in 1993. He was in insurance sales and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Clay Co., GA. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee Cox and his mother Velma Yvonne Caldwell Cox and his wife Bobbie Lambert Cox. Survivors include a daughter, Mechelle M. Cox, Tucson, AZ, a step-daughter, Denise L. Miller, Albany, GA, his father, Arthur Lee Cox, Champaign, IL, four sisters, Scheri Lynn Cox, Holiday, Fl, Deborah Ann Foley (David), Tolono, IL, Susan Y. Osterbur (Marvin), Royal, IL, Cindy Lee Holland, Greenville, TN, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
