| Obituary: | The memorial service of William Edward Ferguson, 84, of Tallahassee, FL formerly of Albany, GA who died Saturday July 17, 2010 at his residence will be conducted Wednesday July 21, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. A native of Spring Gap, Maryland, Mr. Ferguson had lived in Albany, GA from 1951 until 1995 when he and his wife moved to Fort Gaines, GA. After the death of his wife, Bennie Lisenby Ferguson in 2002, he then moved to Pitts, GA and in 2007 he moved to Tallahassee, Fl where he lived until his death. Mr. Ferguson is also preceded in death by his parents, Jonathan Francis Ferguson and Anna Grace Snelson Ferguson and four sisters and two brothers. Mr. Ferguson was a retired salesman with Fullwell-Curtis Motor Products, an Army Air Corps Veteran serving during WWII as a B-29 Tail Gunner flying in twenty eight missions over Japan. He was a graduate of Alleghany High School in Maryland and Albany Technical School and was a member of the American Legion Post #30. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Donnan of Moultrie, GA, a son and his wife, Danny and Carol Ferguson of Lexington, GA, grandchildren, First Lieutenant, Matthew Donnan of Waynesville, MO, David Donnan and Ashley of Statesboro, GA, Mark Donnan of Albany, GA, his companion, Joann Moree of Vienna, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or your local Hospice.
