| Obituary: | The funeral service of Roz Ritter, 73, Albany, GA, who died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at her residence, will be conducted Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Ronald Baxley will officiate. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, GA. Serving as pallbearers are Joseph Valdez, Chaz Gurerra, Robert Ritter, Max Ritter, Harrison Ritter and Bobby Wilson.
Roz was born in Albany, GA on July 17, 1936 and had resided in Camp LeJune, NC before returning to Albany in 1976. Roz was a Self-Employed Cosmologist and a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Stillman Ritter, her father, Arthur Edward Bartlett and a brother, William Edward Bartlett.
Survivors include her mother, Iona “Nany” Bartlett of Albany, GA, a son, Robert A. Ritter of Albany, GA, three daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Jim Valdez and Melody West all of Leesburg, GA and Cathy and Dan Guerra of Oxford, AL, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
