Date of Birth: | August 22, 1936 | | Date of Death: | July 4, 2010 | | Obituary: | The funeral service of Dorothy Haire Forehand, 73, of Leesburg, who died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at her residence, will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chuck Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery. A native of Miller County, GA, Mrs. Forehand had lived in Lee County since 1998, moving from Albany. She was retired from Belk’s Department Store after twenty five years. Mrs. Forehand was a member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church, Helping Hands Sunday School Class, WMU and TOPS. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Don Forehand, three sons, Victor Haire of Lee County, Phillip Haire and his wife, Pam, of Jonesboro, GA and Bruce Haire and his wife, Trisha, of Lee County, two daughters, Patsy Hobbs and her husband, Harold, of Lee County and Becky Grier and her husband, Larry of Riverdale, GA, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. The family is at their residence 467 New York Rd, Leesburg, GA 31763.
