Date of Birth: | March 29, 1946 | | Date of Death: | June 27, 2010 | | Obituary: | The funeral service of Claudia Inez Salter, 64, of Albany, GA, who died Sunday June 27, 2010 at her residence, will be conducted Tuesday June 29, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Story will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A native of Edison, Ga., Mrs. Salter had resided in Albany a number of years. She was a retired cosmetologist and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Otis Roney, Jr. Roger Roney and Jimmie Roney.
Survivors include her son, Tommy Pope (Juanita), Albany, GA, two sisters, Ruby Dell, Albany, GA, Linda Phillips, Iron City, GA, a brother, Ronnie Roney, Albany, GA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
