| Obituary: | The memorial service of Margaret Holman Beard, 70, of 433 S. Audubon Dr., Albany, GA, who died Thursday June 24, 2010, will be conducted Saturday June 26, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Boss will officiate. A native of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Beard had resided in Albany, GA since 1952 moving from Valdosta, GA and was a graduate of Albany High School the class of 1957. She retired in 1988 from Olin Craft Corporation which later became Georgia Pacific and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany. Survivors include her husband, Joe Beard, a son, Gary Beard and a daughter and her husband, Gayle Beard Woolard (Stephen) all of Albany, GA, a sister, Elizabeth Ann Tomlinson, Georgetown, GA, a grandson, Walker Woolard, two nieces, Christine King, Stacey Chance and her husband (Ed) and a nephew, Donnie King, Jr. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
