| Obituary: | The funeral service for Retha Collins Wade Hudson, 94, of Albany who died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at her residence, will be conducted Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Curtis (Curt) Harbuck will officiate. Interment will follow in Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Baker County, GA.
A native of Baker County, GA, Mrs. Collins had resided in Leslie, GA before moving to Albany six years ago. She was a caregiver and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Dennis Wade and Jessie Alfred Hudson, two daughters Ocie Jane Wade and Betty Inez Koop and six brothers, Earl Collins, Roland Collins, Ralph Collins, Leslie Collins, George Collins and James Collins.
Survivors include a son, Lynwood (Bud) Wade (Nancy Ann), Albany, GA, two daughters, Charlie Mae Smith (Danny R.), Albany, GA and Mary Harbuck (Frank), Preston, GA, a sister, Julia Pearl Etheridge, Americus, GA, a sister-in-law, Wilma Collins, Newton, GA, seventeen grandchildren, forty two great-grandchildren and thirty six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
