| Obituary: | The funeral service of Kay Robinson, 58 of Albany, GA who died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at her residence, will be conducted, Thursday at 10:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Gaines will officiate. Interment will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery. A native and lifelong resident of Albany, Mrs. Robinson was born to Roy David Carter and Madeline Boone Carter. She was a homemaker and the widower of George T. (Robby) Robinson. Mrs. Robinson attended Albany public schools and was a member of the Ladies of the VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters, Alicia Mitchell and her husband, Mark of Hampstead, NC and Sharon Grimsley and her husband, Larry of Sylvester, GA, four sisters, Jean Parr and her husband, Barnett, Frances Greene and Faye Apperson and her husband, Elmer all of Albany, GA and Cindy Wescott and her husband, Jim of Lee County, GA, a brother, David Carter of El Paso, TX and four grandchildren, Steven Grimsley and his wife, Hillary, Kirstian Grimsley, Bryce Mitchell and Meghan Mitchell. The family is at the residence of Sharon and Larry Grimsley, 322 Sumner St. Sylvester, GA 31791. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
