| Obituary: | The memorial service of Daniel Charles (Dan) Hirtes, 56, of Albany who died Wednesday June 16, 2010 at his residence will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Paul will officiate.
A native of Neptune, New Jersey, Mr. Hirtes had resided in Albany a number of years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Navy and was a mechanical designer formerly employed with Technical Associates. He was an avid outdoorsman and of the Lutheran faith. The Lord called home a wonderful man.
Survivors include two son, Matthews Thomas Hirtes and Michael Charles Hirtes, the mother of his children, Lisa Thompson all of Albany, GA., three brothers, Steven Hirtes, Chesapeake, VA, Mark Kleinertz Hirtes, CA, Michael Hirtes, New Jersey, a sister, Laurie Hirtes DePasquale, New Jersey.
