 ObituaryThe memorial service for Hope McKinnon, 52, of Albany, who died Monday April 5, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, will be conducted Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. Brother Bob McIntosh will officiate.

A native of Albany, GA, Hope grew up in and around the Albany area. She was a graduate of Worth County High School in 1975, graduated from Albany Technical School in 1978 and was a member of First Methodist Church in Arabi, GA. Hope was the manager of Georgia Peanut Producers, here in Albany for twelve years and was a master gardener who worked exceptionally well with her hands.

Survivors include her son, Stacey Hayslip, a mother, Minnie McKinnon, both of Dougherty County, a brother, Chuck McKinnon, of Albany and a nephew Brad McKinnon and his wife, Julie, of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward McKinnon, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Albany Community Hospice at 2332 Lake Park Dr, Albany, GA 31707, or The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, 2501 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas, TX 75219.
