| Obituary | The memorial service of Joe Jernigan, Jr., 66, of 3515 Gravel Hill Road, Albany, GA., who died Tuesday June 17, 2008 at Palmyra Medical Centers will be conducted Saturday June 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Mercedes Baptist Church. The Rev. Russell Anglin will officiate. A native of Albany, GA., Mr. Jernigan had resided in Tallahassee, FL for thirty five years and moved back to Albany two years ago. He was a retired conductor with the CSX Railroad, a Navy Veteran and was a member of St. George Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Edie Jernigan of Albany; a daughter, Denise Jernigan of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Terry Jernigan of Altamonte Springs, FL; a nephew, Matthew Jernigan and a niece, Mikki Jernigan both of Altamonte Springs, FL.
