| Obituary: | Dr. Richard C. Roberts, D.D.S., seventy-five years of age, of Albany, Georgia, died May 23, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 o’clock A.M. at Andersonville National Cemetery with military honors. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Roberts had resided in Marietta, Georgia for thirty-six years before moving to Albany in 2003. His dentist practice was located in Marietta, Georgia. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Dr. Roberts, born to the late Calvin A. and Lura Estelle Roberts, grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and attended public schools. He received his B.A. in Biology from Southern College in Collegedale, Tennessee and his D.D.S. from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. His community involvement included, co-directing the Pathfinders, a young group during the 1970’s. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Roberts of Albany, Georgia, three daughters, Caryl Nemajovsky and her husband, Alex of Albany, Georgia, Sheryl Roberts and her husband, Jeff Harber of Winder, Georgia and Tricia Kirkhart and her husband, Matthew of Cockeysville, Maryland, a sister, Barbara Bowman of Jacksonville, Florida and a grandson, Andrew Richard Nemajovsky of Albany, Georgia. The family is at the residence of Caryl and Alex Nemajovsky, 1707 Lynwood Lane, Albany, Georgia, 31707. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
