| Obituary: | The graveside funeral service of Wilma D. George, 92, who died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Lee County Health Care, will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel, GA. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
A native of Meigs, Mrs. George had resided in Adel before moving to Albany in 1957. She was employed with Coats and Clark for twenty five years and was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother, great grandmother and a best friend to many. Survivors include her son and his wife, Johnny and Donna George of Oakfield, GA, two daughters, Sherry Quaglietta and her husband, Frank of Leesburg, GA and Teresa Peterson of Kenosha, WI, nine grandchildren, Mac George and his wife, Kelli and Tracy George and his wife, Alesia all of Albany, GA, Scott George of Albany, GA, Michael Quaglietta and his wife, Jenny and Marci Quaglietta, all of Leesburg, GA, Jenny Ewing of Columbus, OH, Grant Peterson of Kenosha, WI, David Miles of Leesburg and Lisa Haggerty and her husband, Patrick of Short Hills, NJ, a daughter-in-law, Joan George of Albany, GA and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Floyd George and a granddaughter, Marla George.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. today (Tuesday) at Mathews Funeral Home.
