| Obituary: | The funeral service of John (Buddy) Hampton Reese, 68, of Albany, who died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Palmyra Medical Center, will be conducted Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church in Dawson, GA. Dr. Emil B. Askew will officiate. A native of Dawson, GA, Mr. Reese had lived in Albany since 1968, coming from Terrell County. He was a member of Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church in Dawson, GA and was preceded in death by his parents, B.F. and Sara Reese, a sister, Clare Waird and a brother, Bill Reese. Survivors include his wife, Mary Reese, a brother, Ed Reese, both of Albany, four sisters, Rachel Askew and her husband, Dr. Emil, of Dawson, GA, Margaret Widener and her husband, Jon, of Orange Beach, AL, Nell Freeman and her husband, Joe, of Dawson, GA and Duanne Lupo and her husband, Richard, of Parrott, GA and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. The family is at their residence at 1809 Hancock Rd., Albany, GA 31705.
